If we choose to do something we know is harmful to ourselves, like drinking diet sodas or snacking on processed foods, does that preclude getting divine protection and healing help for the consequences, because it was an act of our free will to choose things that are self-destructive?

A practitioner writes: “I had another “protection incident” yesterday. I was at work and went outside with my coworker to get a table to eat our lunch. Anyhow, I was looking for a table and not where I was going and slammed my knee HARD into a 4-foot-high pathway light post.
