NicolaQuestions(10557)Answers(0)Posts(0)CommentsSpeaking of lawyers, when Brian was in law school, he participated in an exercise called “Moot Court.” The exercise consisted of arguing both sides of a controversial case. Many students really struggle with this exercise. For example, as a prosecuting attorney arguing for Charles Manson’s guilt, and then as a defense attorney arguing for his innocence. For many, many people, and even attorneys, that kind of mental flexibility is literally “asking too much.” What is Creator’s perspective on the appropriateness or inappropriateness of this exercise? And why is this such a struggle for so many?ClosedNicola asked 2 minutes ago • Human Potential0 views0 answers0 votesThe 1983 movie War Games is famous for a response from the computer when it finished war-gaming nuclear war. It said, “Strange game. The only winning move is not to play.” Many seem to believe this applies to controversial conversations as well. The only winning move is not to converse at all. When it comes to engaging in controversial conversations, when might this strategy be in divine alignment, and even more importantly, when is it not? What is Creator’s perspective?ClosedNicola asked 6 minutes ago • Human Potential0 views0 answers0 votesA quote from the book The Courage to be Disliked by Ichiro Kishimi and Fumitake Koga reads, “Children who have not been taught to confront challenges will try to avoid all challenges.” What is Creator’s perspective?ClosedNicola asked 9 minutes ago • Human Potential0 views0 answers0 votesSpreading the message of Get Wisdom to others likely means successfully engaging in many challenging, difficult, and controversial conversations. It was a strange cloud formation near a local church in Naga City, the Philippines, that looked like the tip of a horizontal cloud was turned upward by 90 degrees to resemble a standing image of Christ with arms outstretched. This was observed during an event at the basilica hosting hundreds of youth who were there to worship. Was this just a fluke, an example of observer bias, or something genuinely special of divine significance?ClosedNicola asked 2 months ago • Divinely Inspired Messengers244 views0 answers0 votesHow does the peptide derivative of ACTH called Semax, compare with the nutraceutical formulations Focus IQ and Myco Max, from PrimalForce.net, in helping with memory loss?ClosedNicola asked 2 months ago • Healing Modalities115 views0 answers0 votesA viewer writes: “I felt ill yesterday. Some writers such as R.A. Boulay have written on humans supposed existence on Earth from about 500,000 years ago. How accurate is Boulay’s book, Flying Serpents and Dragons: The Story of Mankind’s Reptilian Past? It has been dismissed as “pseudoarchaeology”—interpreting myths as literal history without material evidence.”ClosedNicola asked 2 months ago • Extraterrestrial Interlopers167 views0 answers0 votesA viewer asks: “High blood pressure is conventionally regarded as a health risk and that lowering it reduces risk, especially in moderate-to-severe systolic BP of 140-159 mmHg. Dr. Malcolm Kendrick author of Doctoring Data claims that cardiovascular risk increases more steeply after systolic BP reaches around 160-170 mmHg—well beyond the 140/90 threshold often used to diagnose and treat hypertension. A rule of thumb in medicine is that for older individuals, a systolic BP of around 100 + age is a reasonable upper limit beyond which cardiovascular risks increase significantly. Is hypertension over-treated, given that aggressively lowering blood pressure—especially in older individuals—can be harmful?”ClosedNicola asked 2 months ago • Extraterrestrial Corruption of Human Institutions138 views0 answers0 votesA viewer asks: “A 2018 book, Medical Nihilism, by Jacob Stegenga claims the healthcare system over-adopts treatments and under-recognizes risks. He states confidence in the effectiveness of medical interventions should be low because empirical evidence for the efficacy of many treatments is weak due to methodological flaws, publication bias, the influence of commercial interests. He claims positive studies are more likely to be published, screening programs tend to detect and treat cancers that would never cause harm, common treatments can cause long-term complications, short trial durations miss long-term harms etc. How accurate is his view that evidence is systematically skewed and harms are undercounted?”ClosedNicola asked 2 months ago • Extraterrestrial Corruption of Human Institutions118 views0 answers0 votesCrop
