Does Reversirol act through reversing the proposed cause of Type 2 diabetes, which they say is fatty infiltration of the pancreas? Is that a true cause or simply a consequence of the disorder, so there is a correlation of its presence in diabetics?

A viewer asks: “I recently had a blood test for an elective surgery I had as a part of medical clearance. I was shocked to find that my liver results showed I had NAFL, with extremely elevated AST-SGOT of 84, when the highest normal range is 40. I had a blood test approximately 24 months prior for a physical and it was normal. While I have extra pounds I want to lose and my diet isn’t perfect, this fatty liver disease result astounded me. I don’t drink alcohol and haven’t for over 20 yrs. I did some research and found an article about CBD and related oils causing liver disease, which made me think about how I have for almost the past year have been taking Cannabitol ECS5 one to 2 times a day regularly. I was happy to take this for not only anti-viral reasons but for stress from my job and inflammation for my several injuries. I will attach the article here. Would you ask Creator, or if you personally have any information, could advise if this NAFL could be a result of ECS5? I have since stopped taking it.” Is her suspicion correct that the Cannabitol ECS5 caused liver injury, or perhaps exacerbated a pre-existing condition? What is most important for us to know?

In 2001, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) launched a trial to lower blood glucose levels in diabetic patients to reduce their risk for heart attack, stroke, or death from cardiovascular disease. The trial, called Action to Control Cardiovascular Risk in Diabetes, or ACCORD, involved over 10,000 Type 2 diabetic patients who had either been previously diagnosed with heart disease or had two or more risk factors for heart disease when they entered the study. Half received standard treatment and half were treated aggressively with higher doses of antidiabetic drugs. The trial was halted 18 months early because of a 26% increase in deaths in the aggressively treated group. The NIH said there was no conclusive link to a particular medication.
