The US military conducted a surprise strike at a military base in Venezuela where President Maduro was housed. He and his wife were taken prisoner and transported to New York where Maduro appeared in court, charged with narco-trafficking. There has been much international consternation about the legality of this intrusion. In addition, it is shaking up geopolitical forces as the US now controls the Venezuelan oil supply and is denying sales to Russia and China. Was this move just a law enforcement operation to stop drug smuggling harmful to US citizens, as the US maintains, or is it serving deeper, more sinister motives of the interlopers?

Humans do not produce Vitamin C due to a mutation in the GULO (gulonolactone oxidase) gene, which results in the inability to synthesize the protein. Normal GULO is an enzyme that catalyzes the reaction of D-glucuronolactone with oxygen to L-xylo-hex-3-gulonolactone. This then spontaneously forms Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C). However, without the GULO enzyme, no vitamin C is produced. Other mammals like guinea pigs, bats, and dry-nosed primates have gained the same defect. It seems odd that a deleterious random mutation would become dominant in the human lineage. Is that what happened, or was there a sinister manipulation of the human genome?

A viewer asks: “I’m in need of some urgent insights into my current pregnancy. I’m almost 7 months pregnant. Everything went well so far. However, last Friday I visited my gynecologist and he did a quick ultrasound. He noticed that my placenta was blocking my cervix which is called “placenta previa.” He is going to do a more profound echography in two weeks to check again. If this is the case, I will need to have a c-section which is not something I look forward to. The biggest risk factor with placenta previa is sudden bleeding from the vagina in the second part of pregnancy. Bleeding may be severe and life threatening. I feel vulnerable and stressed. Last night I dreamed I had blood loss. This is probably just fear-based. At the beginning of my pregnancy, I also experienced blood loss. It looked like a miscarriage but everything was well with the baby. A “psychic” woman told me I had a twin but it was never the intention of the “other” soul to be born. This soul only wanted to experience a brief time in the physical to complete some cycles. If I’m having placenta previa, what is the true cause for this? Am I in danger of life threatening complications?” What can we tell her?
