A new review in the Annals of Internal Medicine (August 26, 2025) of 99 studies including over 221,000 participants from 15 countries, found that using cannabis products with high levels of THC is linked with increased risk for psychosis or schizophrenia, especially within 12 hours after use, as well as risk of addiction. Compared to recreational cannabis sources available in the 1960s through the 1980s containing 2-4% THC, levels have increased to an average of 20% currently. Vaping devices can deliver 70-90% THC. Evidence is lacking for any medicinal benefit of cannabis in treating those with diagnosed psychotic illness and weak at best for helping anxiety or depression in otherwise normal people. In fact, among recreational users, studies showed increases of 53% and 41% in anxiety and depression, respectively. The drive to legalize cannabis across the US has been accelerating. Will that win out, despite the growing incidence of harm to users? What is most important for us to know?

Humans do not produce Vitamin C due to a mutation in the GULO (gulonolactone oxidase) gene, which results in the inability to synthesize the protein. Normal GULO is an enzyme that catalyzes the reaction of D-glucuronolactone with oxygen to L-xylo-hex-3-gulonolactone. This then spontaneously forms Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C). However, without the GULO enzyme, no vitamin C is produced. Other mammals like guinea pigs, bats, and dry-nosed primates have gained the same defect. It seems odd that a deleterious random mutation would become dominant in the human lineage. Is that what happened, or was there a sinister manipulation of the human genome?

You have told us that in today’s world, no human being can be trusted as an authority because of the corruption and mind control manipulation of our culture. Perhaps an example is the current controversy about a seemingly straightforward issue: whether or not crime in Washington D.C. needs urgent attention or has actually fallen. President Trump ordered 800 National Guard troops into the capitol, ostensibly to make the city safer, which is derided by the political left even though officials state that the police force is understaffed by 800 officers due to budget cuts. Meanwhile, a D.C. police commander was suspended a few months ago for allegedly under-reporting crime statistics. Others have pointed out that in Washington, and other sanctuary cities, defunding the police lowers crime statistics because lack of police action lets crime go unreported. Police are also under pressure to make things look good, and actually log serious crimes as minor ones, and many arrested criminals are simply let go as liberal prosecutors and judges will just dismiss the charges. What is the divine perspective? Is criminality a serious problem being aided and abetted by lax enforcement or is this Federal intervention just fearmongering and political posturing with a dangerous authoritarian motivation?

A practitioner asks: “It is getting harder and harder seeing the days and nights going by with no clear signs of answers, especially answers that truly make a difference, and not just listening to what other people say, but unable to feel or verify anything in my own personal experience, which what truly matters to me. The suspect accused of killing four people in a Manhattan high-rise building on July 28, 2025, allegedly left a note behind that appeared to blame the NFL for a brain injury, according to New York City Mayor Eric Adams. The alleged attacker, 27-year-old Shane Tamura of Las Vegas, committed suicide by shooting himself after he allegedly opened fire at the 345 Park Avenue building that houses the NFL’s headquarters, along with other businesses. During an interview on CBS News, Adams was asked about a possible motive in the shooting. The mayor said that a note was allegedly found stating the shooter felt he had chronic traumatic encephalopathy, a brain injury more commonly known as CTE that some football players have been known to develop. “He appeared to have blamed the NFL for his injury,” Adams said. Speaking in tongues once served a critical need, which arguably is no longer needed due to the modern advent of Internet communications and even real-time translation software and utilities. The language barrier that has existed since shortly after the reseeding of humanity some 200,000 years ago, and encapsulated in the biblical Tower of Babel story, is firmly coming down. Language is no longer a barrier in our modern world. Therefore, as remarkable and inspiring as speaking in tongues is, it just isn’t needed like it once was.
