The role of mother is more akin to the role of helper than any other attribute type. Though all souls will experience motherhood, frequently and profoundly, the nurturing role of mother is particularly suited to the helper type. Therefore it would make sense that helpers would prefer to be female more often than not. This would help to explain perhaps why the female gender, as a whole, so closely resembles the helper type as a whole. The two roles are profoundly reinforcing of each other. If the majority (or significant percentage) of women are helpers, and the majority (or significant percentage) of helpers are women, that would really help to make sense of what seems to be readily observable. It seems helpers would make awesome grandmothers. What can Creator tell us?

It was mentioned in the last show on soul attributes, that it’s not the attribute itself that is problematic, but how it is expressed. In evaluating the helper, it’s easy to see how their focus on the welfare of those around them can manifest in a positive way. But how can it manifest negatively? How can a helper be corrupted and even engage in and become “evil,” perhaps by imposing their more conservative standards and risk-aversion on others forcefully, such as the overbearing mother who limits the freedom of her children to a stultifying degree, to keep them safe, or perhaps in trying to manipulate others by performing unrequested and unneeded tasks in order to ingratiate, and then claiming “they had no choice” when confronted? Is the helper prone to being a martyr, working themselves to death, and then complaining about it incessantly? Were helpers more often than not the dreaded snitches in World War II sending “dangerous enemies” to the government for help? What can Creator tell us?

The helper is here to help. But it is also true that the helpers need divine help as much as anyone. There is a saying, “When you label me, you negate me,” but it’s hard to grasp the notion of soul attributes without introducing the notion of categories. And categories by necessity utilize labels to denote elements or members. At some point, we do ourselves a disservice by insisting that no one should ever have expectations about another person. This gets to a point of absurdity when we refuse to acknowledge that a petite 100-pound female cannot play on the offensive line of an NFL team. What does Creator say about the tools and usage of categories and labels?

We have learned that Creator will not lead, and so with that understanding, it is wise to first survey existing literature and bodies of information for ideas of what soul attributes really may encompass. When one starts to research this topic of attributes, one unavoidably encounters the notion of archetypes. The Google dictionary has two relevant definitions for the word: 1. “A very typical example of a certain person or thing,” and 2. “A recurrent symbol or motif in literature, art, or mythology.” So archetypes denote “typical examples” and they are denoted and recognized by recurrent symbols or labels. After surveying the literature of available information on this topic, including channeled material, some of which is certainly not entirely reliable, we end up with a short list or “best guess” of what seven basic archetypical types of human expressions or roles might be. There is the helper type, which expressed as an occupation would be a nurse. The next would be the artistic type. Typical occupations would involve any and all types of experiential manipulation from fashion designer to architect to interior decorator to musician. The next type would be the athletic type. These are your professional soldiers and professional athletes and even school teachers. They gravitate to competition of all kinds and small-group leadership roles. The remaining roles would be researcher, typical occupations being anything scholarly. One source said something to the effect, that only the “researcher” type of person could spend an entire lifetime studying the mating habits of an African beetle. A helper type would never be able to do that without going crazy. The remaining three types are the orator type, with journalist being a principal occupation, the spiritual type, with anything involving religious and/or inspirational leadership and devout following being center stage, and finally the “chief” type. The “chiefs” are souls that are always focused on the BIG picture and gravitate to roles and occupations that impact large numbers of people. It is assumed that chiefs make up the smallest percentage, as low as 2% of all humanity. What is Creator’s perspective?

So if we were to assume that each human is typically and primarily one of those roles, that would narrow the expected behavior of such a person substantially. So while it would certainly not be impossible for a helper type to become President of the United States, you wouldn’t expect it. Nor would you expect an orator type to pursue mechanical engineering as an occupation. If they did, you would likely find them becoming the editor of an engineering periodical, rather than burying themselves all day in blueprints. So while these primary attributes don’t create HARD boundaries that prevent individuals from doing anything they want, they do, in fact, help mold and define those very WANTS to begin with. What is Creator’s perspective?

A recent experiment had a male set up an attractive female profile, and it generated 20,000 matches in a just a few hours. A similar reverse experiment set up by a female thinking she could prove there was a level playing field, generated only a few dozen matches to the male profile she created, in the span of an entire month, and none of those turned into an actual date. In New York City, it has been observed that dating apps have enabled many women to establish different kinds of categories for men interested in them. A study reported in the New York Post revealed that 33% of women confessed to going on dates just to get “free food.” They even have a term for it, namely, a “foodie call.” Some women have a full address book of men they can call not only for free food but free home repairs, car repairs, shopping trips, travel, you name it. Sixty percent of college graduates today are women. Women are increasingly filling managerial roles and displacing men in numerous professional occupations such as law and medicine. Men, by and large, have no issues “dating down” and entering relationships with women who earn much less than they do, and who are even unemployed altogether. Whereas, the opposite is almost never true for successful women. Overwhelmingly, they hold out and say yes only to men who make as much or preferably more than they do, who are taller than they are (or at least not shorter), and more “successful and worldly,” however they might personally define that. The result is that more and more women are chasing fewer and fewer “qualified” men. They are literally pricing themselves out of the dating market. What is Creator’s perspective?
