But clearly, life presents circumstances where the individual just KNOWS that trouble cannot be completely avoided, even with prayer, and so strength rather than deliverance is prayed for. Yet with what we’ve learned about prayer, it would seem to be the better strategy to pray for BOTH strength AND deliverance.
