She continues: “This accident seems to have colored my grandmother’s life from that point forward. She spent several months recovering and was abandoned by her stepmother. She was in and out of psych wards multiple times in her life. There were nine children and two miscarriages, a raging alcoholic husband who spent his pay and caused her to seek food from the church. One daughter became an alcoholic, with pulmonary fibrosis and a creepy husband; one daughter suffered mental illness, heart disease, alcoholism, and rage (my mom); another daughter had a nervous breakdown and a pedophile husband; one daughter seemed somewhat stable; one daughter was sexually abused, manic, and lost a son; one son seems unremarkable; another son had a nervous breakdown, didn’t work; another daughter had an unhappy marriage; the final daughter had a nervous breakdown, and may be homeless. Many of her children suffered with alcoholism, or mental illness, or had breakdowns. Few were better than adequate parents, some were angry and combative. Her 26 grandchildren have attributed the less than “Leave it to Beaver” homelives to be the natural result of trauma trickling down. I now wonder if failure to transition was involved at all? Or were dark spirits attracted to the scene and stayed on? My grandmother, as the survivor, was the likely focus of any that were drawn.” What can Creator tell us?

The news reported on September 28, 2025, a Mormon church in Michigan on fire following an active shooter incident, leaving multiple victims. The incident happened at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Grand Blanc. Police Chief Brian Lipe said: “What we know right now is that a 40-year-old suspect from Burton, he’s a male. A new review in the Annals of Internal Medicine (August 26, 2025) of 99 studies including over 221,000 participants from 15 countries, found that using cannabis products with high levels of THC is linked with increased risk for psychosis or schizophrenia, especially within 12 hours after use, as well as risk of addiction. Compared to recreational cannabis sources available in the 1960s through the 1980s containing 2-4% THC, levels have increased to an average of 20% currently. Vaping devices can deliver 70-90% THC. Evidence is lacking for any medicinal benefit of cannabis in treating those with diagnosed psychotic illness and weak at best for helping anxiety or depression in otherwise normal people. In fact, among recreational users, studies showed increases of 53% and 41% in anxiety and depression, respectively. The drive to legalize cannabis across the US has been accelerating.
