Now we need to worry about WHY he (the patient) needs the health.” What is Creator’s perspective?ClosedNicola asked 3 years ago • Metaphysics301 views0 answers0 votesFrankl wrote: “A doctor should not prescribe a tranquilizer care for the despair of a man who is grappling with spiritual problems.” What is Creator’s perspective?ClosedNicola asked 3 years ago • Metaphysics279 views0 answers0 votesFrankl wrote: “It is philosophical dilettantism (or amateurism) to rule out, for example, the existence of a divine being on the ground that the idea of God arose out of primitive man’s fear of powerful natural forces. It is equally false to judge the worth of a work of art by the fact that the artist created it in, say, a psychotic phase of his life.” What is Creator’s perspective?ClosedNicola asked 3 years ago • Metaphysics290 views0 answers0 votesThe oracles in Ancient Greece allegedly used to inhale psychedelic gases that came out of the earth in order to communicate with the divine. However, through the years, these gases stopped being emitted. Plutarch describes this. This can get downright comical when people will refuse to click on a link to a “questionable” website, that is in fact a link to a story on another site they actually approve of, or appears to support something they believe. Can Creator share why this seems like “enlightened” behavior to these people?ClosedNicola asked 4 years ago • Problems in Society369 views0 answers0 votesThere is a story of a seeker who approached a guru asking to take up advanced spiritual training with enlightenment as the goal. The guru said, “we must first test your readiness.” The guru then handed the applicant three humungous baked potatoes and instructed him to eat them right away. The problem was, the applicant, anticipating a life devoid of luxuries, had just come from a goodbye feast where he had already stuffed himself to the brim. Alone, staring at the potatoes and knowing he could not possibly eat them in the time expected, saw a homeless man off in the distance. He approached the homeless man and offered him the biggest potato. The homeless man accepted, and the applicant then choked down the other two. Returning to the guru, the guru asked if he had indeed consumed all three potatoes. The applicant hesitated for a moment and then confessed what he had done with the biggest potato. He then challenged the guru about the virtue of charity, and does that not override the demands of the test? The guru responded with the question “Did the homeless man ASK YOU for the potato?” Upon saying “no,” the guru rejected the applicant, and claimed he was not ready for advanced training. What is Creator’s perspective of this story?ClosedNicola asked 4 years ago • Karma412 views0 answers0 votesCould enlightenment be characterized as self-confidence based on truth versus self confidence based on beliefs? The difference being that the enlightened are forever free from the state of cognitive dissonance? What is Creator’s perspective?ClosedNicola asked 4 years ago • Human Corruption410 views0 answers0 votesThere is self-confidence about what the self can “do” versus self-confidence about what the self “is” and one’s inherent right to be a legitimate sovereign member of the universe. As much as the love of truth gets lip service, the reality appears to be that the individual is fighting appearances and pressures to conform every step of the way.
