In reflecting on the information you gave us for our Get Wisdom Live episode titled “Creator Discusses Extreme Human Vulnerability to Authority,” I am wondering about a possible sinister influence by the interlopers to corrupt Homeowner’s Associations. Horror stories are legion about poor oversight, favoritism, onerous rules, and negative experiences of all kinds. To what extent are such groups being undermined to cause problems?

In a recent episode of Get Wisdom Live titled “Creator Discusses Extreme Human Vulnerability to Authority,” we recounted documented studies of mock prisons, showing college students randomly assigned to be guards or prisoners were surprisingly willing to act like perpetrators or passive victims. I just read a story in a recent issue of The New Yorker about the problem of mentally ill people who end up in jail starving to death. Is the extreme neglect that represents, a result of manipulation of law enforcement personnel by the interlopers to not only become insensitive to the needs of the incarcerated but actively apply policies to enhance their suffering?

The owners were referred to me by the real estate attorney that I always recommend as they were extremely frustrated that their home did not sell. I am also surprised as even though it did need some tweaking, they were asking a good price for it, too. Now that I am to sell it, I had my stager give advice and they are doing many of the improvements so it can sell well and even at a higher price. Not sure if I’m just guessing, but I also feel that something was prohibiting the sale. The prior seller is definitely what you would consider a true victim as I feel (not even working with her) that she is riddled with many dark energies. A realtor asks: “I would like to hire you again to reboost the clearing for my prior clients [names withheld]. Their contractor is not being honest or timely (he did a bait and switch for the job). The village is still giving them a very hard time to get occupancy and now something popped up from the contractor that they need a new septic system, which is very suspect as the house is less than 5 years old. We suspect that the contractor is trying to get more money out of my clients. The village is not quick and the contractor continues to delay everything, and now their temporary lease is up at the end of the month and they cannot move into the home without occupancy, so will be left homeless as a family including their autistic son.
