A viewer asks: “My father had a stroke 2 years ago, and has declined since then. He recently went to the hospital as he took a high dose of Advil and his medication baclofen and felt very sick. He’s a bit better but has chronic pain and is very thin and weak but he is still with us and has stopped taking Advil now. In the hospital he told us he saw angels. We think God gave him visions and it might be seeds of healing. Now he’s home and worried about falling as he’s so weak. He walks with our guidance. We are getting a nurse to help him and started cannabis oil for him. Was Advil the cause of his weight loss and will cannabis oil help? And is his soul preparing for transition or is healing possible?”

A viewer asks: “My father is asking for medically assisted suicide as he is losing hope he can heal and is in chronic pain. I am opposed. I think there’s hope for healing. And I don’t think his mission is over. We just recently discovered Advil overuse, and that stopping it can help reverse his severe weight and muscle loss. This is cause for hope. He is getting angry with me and accusing me of not understanding. He says he feels his time on this side is up and wants to return to the nonphysical. It’s true that he is a major burden on me and the rest of the family, but I see it as a duty and this is what family is for. I don’t think I can bring myself to signing off on what he is asking for. I think it’s selfish of him and giving up too soon, and potentially regretting his decision when he goes to the light. In 2001, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) launched a trial to lower blood glucose levels in diabetic patients to reduce their risk for heart attack, stroke, or death from cardiovascular disease. The trial, called Action to Control Cardiovascular Risk in Diabetes, or ACCORD, involved over 10,000 Type 2 diabetic patients who had either been previously diagnosed with heart disease or had two or more risk factors for heart disease when they entered the study. Half received standard treatment and half were treated aggressively with higher doses of antidiabetic drugs. The trial was halted 18 months early because of a 26% increase in deaths in the aggressively treated group. The NIH said there was no conclusive link to a particular medication. Were these outcomes just a fluke or was over-medication involved? What is Creator’s perspective?

Type 2 diabetes is becoming an epidemic in civilized countries, with an ever-increasing trend of obesity, hypertension and other related complications like heart disease, kidney disease and peripheral neuropathy. The concern has been raised that relying on medications to lower blood sugar actually does NOT reduce the risk of death from any of the related health complications of diabetes: stroke, heart attacks, infections, and kidney disease. Is this true and if so, can you help us understand why this is so?
