A client asks about his brother: “He appears to be worsening. Poorer physical agility and movement. Less clear mentally. He has had some outbursts in the recent past, which has led to a psychiatrist prescribing Ativan 2x per day. This means he now takes a happy pill and Ativan x2 daily. Personally, I think he is more doped up than he needs to be. Interaction has really become muted. Of course, being in a nursing home, the staff wants him sedate and compliant. My sister and brother have carefully reviewed the literature on frontal lobe dementia, and suggest to me he fits the profile almost perfectly. So, they are resigned on his taking medications. In a recent televised episode of the program, Diagnose Me, a woman named Erica underwent a forced psychiatric hospitalization after becoming delusional and violent while exhibiting demonic possession symptoms. She was ultimately diagnosed as having anti-NMDA antibodies, and recovered after receiving plasmapheresis and Rituximab. Were any of her symptoms actually caused by spirit possession that was capitalizing on her physical vulnerability from the biochemical abnormality?

This is consistent with research on many other biological markers [21]. We suggest it is time to acknowledge that the serotonin theory of depression is not empirically substantiated.” Was that a correct conclusion? A client writes: “It’s been quite a 6 months for us. I’ve sustained multiple injuries—ankle, 2nd degree burns up my arm, wrist injury that will require surgery, bite from a poisonous spider (lasted 5 months), suspected skin carcinoma (will know later this week), COVID for me, and just this weekend an injury for my son. I’m saying the Source Creator prayer 5/7 days a week; some days I forget and some days I say it multiple times. I’m trying everything I know.
