This was created by a mutation done deliberately by extraterrestrial manipulation of the DNA of the first victims and this was then passed down through inheritance. It was done to target a particular lineage, and that was for reasons of disloyalty, so this was a form of reprisal and done as an object lesson for other offspring of the Anunnaki hybrids.
