What happened to create such large numbers of meddling spirits who attach to and manipulate us?

This was a deliberate choice by the strongest of the group now acting out that dark role. This was the choice they made, to turn away. It was done through selfishness. It was done as a self-serving attempt to acquire greater reach and power. It was done initially out of curiosity, but the various temptations that arose led to false rewards and a false embrace, that this would be a positive path and a hopeful path and a rewarding path, and they quickly learned that it would get more and more difficult and then they were dragged into a kind of quicksand that took them lower and lower. So this was a group of energetic beings, light beings, angelic beings, as they have been described, and their dilemma now is quite serious, for they have undergone such a dramatic disempowerment and also accumulated a huge unpaid cost to them that needs to be rebalanced and healed, and restitution made to all who have suffered at their hands. At this point it is an enormous obligation and future burden, because the suffering of so many has caused suffering of even greater numbers in turn, because of the many interconnections, and the harming of one harms all, to some degree. So the suffering being traceable back to them will fall on their shoulders and this has caused a further deterioration for them already and is worsening steadily. The way back for them will be through healing and through forgiveness. As people become enlightened and returned to their own light being origin and perspective, it will be possible for them to re-engineer the balance of power and allow the return to the light in greater numbers of the fallen ones. This you already are doing with your healing outreach, and we very much support and encourage you in this, for the removal of the dark ones will create space for light to come in, and it does, each and every time. Those who are sent into a period of change and re-adjustment to a higher state of being will begin their healing, and this is a tremendous gift to them and to all of humanity as well, for it removes one dark soldier from the front lines, so to speak, and eventually the battle will be won as this continues.
