There is a description circulating on the Internet claiming that the polio epidemic was misinformation based on assuming the polio virus was causing paralysis when it was actually a dangerous upsurge in spraying DDT indiscriminately, which is neurotoxic. What is the divine truth here?

This, unfortunately, is a message heavily manipulated to introduce misinformation. We have said many, many, times about many, many, things that an apparent correlation does not necessarily mean a causal connection, only that a similar characteristic or property can be observed. But that is far from providing powerful evidence there is a mechanistic link that explains the underlying problem at hand. Many phenomena that are correlated are completely separate in their underlying mechanisms but simply taking place over a similar time course and so appear much alike. The polio virus does indeed cause paralysis and it is also true that many people can ward off the severe effects and only have a flulike illness, but that does not mean polio is not a scourge. It is also true that DDT is quite toxic and its widespread adoption and indiscriminate use in hindsight was clearly reckless. Like all technological solutions to problems, the Extraterrestrial Alliance promotes and encourages their adoption, knowing it will add to harm in many cases and is a favorite game to manipulate people to harm themselves. That is great sport for the interlopers who get a big reward for their ego in knowing more than humans and having the power to dupe them into making bad decisions and choices. This Internet communication is part of a larger deception from the interlopers who always take both sides of an issue and distort things to create confusion and fan the flames of fear and mistrust.
