This, indeed is the shilajit. It is a most exotic substance, but has a long cultural history in Ayurvedic medicine and this is one of the most useful of its properties. It is not that it is a specific mediator of this one useful physiologic response. There are a family of benefits, but the mechanism, being multipotent, has a variety of uses and this is especially so for ED sufferers who have a nerve impairment, such as that resulting from prostatectomy.
