While it is true that the literal thinking of the materialists is holding sway among the scientific elites and gatekeepers, that is because of mind control, not the strength of their own ideas and, as a consequence of the manipulation, it makes them unwilling to embrace new ideas in general. That is the hurdle in the way. So rather than a scientific awakening providing a path to enlightenment, what is truly needed is enlightenment as a path to better scientific understanding of the workings of the universe.
