DWQA QuestionsCategory: Divine GuidanceA viewer asks: “Is the amount of plastic shed on meat and used as containers of fruit and vegetables, and so many other things, a significant source of contamination?” What is Creator’s perspective?

The issue of microplastics is mostly from small particles present in the environment as a result of mechanical disruption and shredding of plastic materials that get into air and water, not solely from storage in a plastic container. We have commented previously that the use of plastic, in general, is a danger and has a number of downsides, including the leaching of plasticizers into foods and beverages stored in plastic containers, so it is not a good idea to use plastic to store foodstuffs of any kind, nor beverages.
