DWQA QuestionsCategory: KarmaCan you confirm for us the capacity of the different levels of the mind to have their own beliefs, uniquely or shared, and whether each level is compartmentalized as short-term or long-term memory?

The way to think of this is that each level of the mind has its own beliefs, some are unique and some are shared and interconnected through crosstalk, and will resonate with the emotional linkages accompanying their creation from the relevant life experiences that serve to install them, whether positive or negative. As a working principle, these will first go into short-term memory and then into long-term storage. This is a deliberate design feature that enables eliminating the trivial and keeping those things of greater impact and importance to be retained in memory. There are many experiences throughout one’s day where you are involved in many, many routine functions and you need not retain a detailed memory of doing those same activities over and over and over again. So what will be retained in long-term storage is when something unusual happens to bring delight or some other positive emotion, or something negative to transpire, and depending on the degree of seriousness, that will determine if it merits longer-term storage in memory to perhaps be recalled quite some time later, or to be within a network of similar episodes that creates a kind of overall temperament that will be a characteristic of the individual. Some people are happy-go-lucky, others are serious, taciturn, or quite dark in their thoughts and demeanor. This is reflecting to what extent they are accessing networks of stored memories and the associated affect, whether positive or negative emotions, and that will govern the mood state they exhibit most commonly and, of course, is subject to change as people have events that tilt more towards positive or negative in their experiencing, and this will cause the mind to align more with a positive network or circuit than a negative one. Know that these are not what the neuroscientists designate as a "neural network," which is a false notion in being an intellectual contrivance to help, supposedly, with conceptualizing how the brain works. What we are talking about with this affect network and connection to beliefs and the memories through cordings is a much more intricate and exquisite orchestration of energy flow to accomplish much of practical value in the interplay of thought, feeling, and action by the body to give humans great versatility and much variety in the uniqueness of the makeup and personality as well as the ability to develop high-level functions and skills of all kinds that bring great rewards, all of which depend on a smooth and effective integration of one’s faculties, especially being able to store and retrieve vast amounts of information and have interconnections with both mind and body. Much can be done with efficiency through a kind of muscle memory, learned behavioral routines that act through a template on autopilot, so to speak, so the mind will not be cluttered and grind to a halt having to focus on each little thing sequentially needing to be done, but a number of things being brought to bear in parallel with perhaps alternating attention by conscious awareness with much going on out of habit and not limited by mental resources.
