DWQA QuestionsCategory: Divine GuidanceIf writers get divine help in the form of inspiration, what causes writer’s block?

You have seen intuitively that the writer's block, so-called, is an example of disconnection from the Divine. This can happen for many reasons. It can be temporary or permanent with respect to the degree required to dry up the wellspring of creative energy employed by creative writers to craft a new work. There are many reasons for the further disconnect happening. It can relate to emotional difficulty or a misdirection of thoughts into a kind of stagnation that by turning away from a higher impulse and perspective begins a separation and this can feed on itself and worsen over time and add to inner doubts and fears and thereby become more entrenched and harder and harder to undo. It is no different than other forms of inner turmoil, such as severe anxiety. It is a force from within. It is not something one has that one can let go of simply. So writer’s block is no different. It is a state of being marked by an inner blockade to surrender the self to divine inspiration through a kind of freedom and allowing, unencumbered, when the person is not clamping down on the gateway to isolate the self and perhaps throw up protective barriers because of fear, and those barriers become a liability because they keep out friend as well as foe. The cure for writer’s block is reaching out to the Divine and requesting assistance directly, and then allowing this to happen by cultivating inner belief once again and obtaining help if necessary to remove any impairment due to negative emotion getting in the way, by resolving inner conflicts and trauma events.
