This is getting into an area you have little explored thus far but have wondered about. There are multiple components and energetic influences going on simultaneously for this individual. Your intuitive assessment was quite accurate, that it is both karmic as well as a consequence of his state of mind being thrust into a new job when he is at a point where he is unsure of himself and doubting his future. This is causing inner fear. It is mostly in the deep subconscious, but that is the troubled part of humans and gives rise to much difficulty, causing great inner stress that will be discernible because of its physiologic effects on the body and the emotions that may, in some cases, be misunderstood and seem inexplicable, depending on how the person is thinking about their situation and the level of discomfort, whether it is mostly interior or on the conscious level as well.
In his case, his doubts, uncertainties, both from his conscious thoughts as well as the ruminations deep below in the deep subconscious bubbling up, are both transferring negativity into his personal thought plane. That is the first thing his prospective clients will see when he calls them. Their first instinct is to evaluate the threat the call may represent. That is done automatically and unconsciously by tuning in intuitively to the caller to size them up, in a sense, and see—are they genuine? Is there an ulterior motive in play? Are they a threat in some fashion? When the person on the receiving end senses discord within the caller’s personal thought plane, it will raise a red flag immediately and the person listening will be leery of engaging with someone who appears to be in emotional turmoil. They will inherently begin to mistrust the prudence of continuing the conversation and this will be a deal-breaker at the outset for many, many people. Some are less aware energetically and will not be able to discern this, but they also may be less influenced in general by outside messages regardless of who is talking to them.
The deep karma here is working against him as well in this period of his life when he has been in flux with his career and had false starts and delays for the same reasons, because he is conflicted internally from past failures and difficulties in other lifetimes surviving financially. This has created vulnerability yet again in this life and there is a regular review of those past difficulties by the deep subconscious, and it is worried about his security. So it is understandable there are misgivings and inner conflicts, and he is still unsettled. So these factors are self-reinforcing and this is the consequence—seeing people shy away from him.
As for the physical phenomena with equipment failures and glitches, this is actually the Law of Karma at work, not his consciousness. This, karma can do because it is a force of nature. It has the power of Creator behind it after all. It is designed to be the great leveler to bring actual force to bear when called for to right the wrongs of the past and to change whatever might be needed to create a better circumstance for someone due to receive good karma, or to create complications, difficulties, and painful circumstances when this is warranted, because of prior suffering that needs to be re-experienced as an incentive to find a way to healing finally, or to have a taste of one’s own medicine if there has been prior wrongdoing and the Law of Karma sees opportunities to put that perpetrator at a disadvantage and bring suffering to them in like measure. This is why things can break and even lead to lethal outcomes if such is warranted by the karmic underpinnings.
