Was Lee Harvey Oswald standing in front of the Texas School Book Depository to watch President Kennedy’s limo prior to the assassination, so he could not have been the shooter? Did he then enter the building and go up to the second-floor lunch room? In the famous photo by James Altgens taken at the time of the JFK assassination, was that Oswald standing in front of the Texas School Book Depository entrance wearing a patterned shirt partially unbuttoned down the front with a white T-shirt underneath, which looked like what Oswald was wearing after he was arrested that afternoon and paraded in front of the cameras?

This was not Oswald, but another individual. So the photo presents what is, in effect, a red herring, to be a source of controversy. As you know, that helps the interlopers. The more divergent witness accounts, testimonies, and affidavits that can be generated, the more it calls into question any particular testimony. This leaves people concluding that eyewitness testimony simply cannot be relied on, similar to photographs that lack high-enough resolution to be unequivocal in making an identification.
