DWQA QuestionsCategory: KarmaWas the dead raccoon my client found in the middle of his basement floor that was hiding in the ceiling, an answer to a prayer for being freed of these pests?

This indeed is what happened. We did not kill the raccoon. We engineered a last-gasp effort of it to breach the ceiling and attempt to move beyond its confining quarters where there was no food available and this last-gasp effort to forage further within the home was his undoing. So, in a sense, it was completing the cycle of life in nature, that when time runs out through lack of sustenance or harsh conditions, the animal may perish but that is not a karmic penalty for him as simply owning the home and wanting to be free of infestation. As you know, these are predators who do not belong in the earth plane to begin with, so they need not be protected or shielded from the consequences of their own encroachment. It is karmically permissible to defend oneself and one’s property from any scourge of this sort.
