This is 100% and you have already seen this intuitively, but simply want it stated for the record. The reason is, as you have surmised, these beings are interlopers and can be dealt with directly even with some forcefulness if needed. Whereas the lost souls, being human, still have free will privileges in your domain and must be left undisturbed if they are not responding. The spirit meddlers, on the other hand, can usually be persuaded when given alternatives not to their liking—the main one being to leave them in their dark world or take them to a higher and better place. Usually, we can cajole them to cooperate, but we can be forceful if need be in deference to the needs of the human host. So in the case of the spirit meddlers, when a client continues to have problems perceived as spirit attacks, it will either be a fresh attack by different spirits seeing they are unoccupied and available as a target or that the person’s mind is recreating the experiencing of attacks, which it has learned through habit, and there may be a situation of self-tormenting going on.
