DWQA QuestionsCategory: Divine GuidanceWill learning about and focusing on the virtues with the intention to cultivate and express them be of value to a person?

This is very much the case. It is much like focusing on love and the idea of love. It is substituting, in a sense, a different flavor or frequency of love, and that always has value because specificity carries with it the information as to meaning and purpose and will help to create pathways, and an inner recognition, and a projection as well into the possibilities for future conduct, to have the option to follow a virtuous path as opposed to a path devoid of additional implications and greater meaning in a spiritual sense. So by focusing on the virtues, you are building an outreach to the future that creates the beginning of a future consequence by paving the way quite literally. It is much like walking through a wilderness area and breaking away the branches, trampling some of the brush underfoot. That creates a visible alteration that makes a subsequent journey to a similar destination easier by recognizing the path used before, and will also make the journey easier because obstacles have been cleared away and a successful path put into existence. This is the virtue of studying the virtues in creating many paths to future joy and success.
