Does cod liver oil contain significant antiviral activity, enough to diminish viral disease symptoms or even cure chronic viral maladies?

Interestingly, cod liver oil does contain antiviral activity as well as a variety of very useful nutrients. The drawback is that it would require administering a significant volume and because it is quite distasteful it is difficult to gain acceptance. So given there are more palatable ways to take an effective Antiviral Regimen, we do not see this as the be-all and end-all. But anytime it could be added, it will have health benefits.
