DWQA QuestionsCategory: KarmaA practitioner asks: “Since my pet died I have lost some faith in the LHP protocol and don’t know if I’m able to do them anymore. The answer I received, in short, was that the kitten had karma coming back around and the prayers I’ve been doing for 3 years, which always include my pets, weren’t enough to save its current life. I’m not sure I understand how, if an innocent animal tragically died young in past lifetimes, it’s now destined to have that reoccur again and again due to karma. How is an innocent animal to get out of that karmic wheel?”

While your sympathies and love for your pet are overwhelming, that is not the whole story. The animal has a history of its own and, in a sense, its participation through life in the physical is a karmic event, inevitably, because of the harsh conditions and uncertainties of life in the physical, with many misfortunes and tragedies of all kinds happening all too frequently. When that occurs, it will draw you into a kind of quicksand. So when you look at your beloved kitchen, you saw only its youth and innocence as a species and service as a companion animal, holding no malice, and only an appreciation for the love that was given and was able to return in kind. But that is not the whole story. What you are not appreciating is all those you see around you have an extensive back story. They have all been wounded. They have all been, at times, living a failed life through error or willful misconduct done in error because of inner corruption for any number of reasons, often arranged to happen by the interlopers. We understand how hard it is to come to grips with the harsh reality of the rules of engagement, that when you come here you are in combat and many will get taken out and fall by the wayside, in effect, at least for a time, because of woundings. This does not detract from their worth or spiritual core. The same is true of your beloved kitten, not having any malice at heart but nonetheless, in a sense, caught up in the karmic swirl and had to reckon with and rebalance those energies in the best way possible. We appreciate this is hard for you to understand, but it is not up to you, alone, to make decisions about life-and-death matters. The worth of having that loving kitten in your life and for you to feel accomplished and effective as a healer are both important consequences, but nothing is guaranteed in this constant dance with the Law of Karma, and many divine decisions along the way about how to allow divine grace to compensate for true gains made the hard way. Oftentimes, accepting and undergoing a harsh outcome is the best way to rebalance karma and prevent a reoccurrence because healing may be partial at best, even when applied many times through prayer. That is simply the nature of things, that the energy you launch with the protocols is a positive force for good but still is not all-powerful. So the question boils down to the choice between having a somewhat limited and measured reach as a healer, versus having no power at all, to potentially influence things for the better. We would recommend always voting to contribute your healing and prayer efforts as long as you are able, because they will make a difference. And that was true for your kitten as we shared with you. Even though it was a not enough to save its young life this time, it cleared the future of that past legacy and that alone, is a major accomplishment. The fact you cannot have the blessing of that kitten alive and well in your life is still a loss from your perspective and this we understand. But many times, what is highest and best for another will not be what is most desired for you to see happen. We see your young cat's life with you as a major blessing for its welfare and happiness and that the healing was a major contribution for its future, nonetheless.
