DWQA QuestionsCategory: Divine GuidanceA recent study by Pien Rawee, et al. in Archives of Sexual Behavior, [https://doi.org/10.1007/s10508-024-02817-5], found that 11% of adolescent children express symptoms of gender discontentedness, but the prevalence declined to 4% by age 26. Is it correct to conclude that as much as two-thirds of gender dysphoria will be outgrown without use of invasive gender-confirming care, such as sex reassignment surgery and puberty blockers? What can Creator tell us?

We would say these statistics are a fair representation of reality, that there are many undercurrents and influences to encourage gender confusion in the young, much of which is sinister and will not best serve them, particularly if this is seized upon by overzealous advocates for gender rights, and assuming it will help to apply a physical manipulation to accentuate a shift to embrace a nonbiologic gender identity that is simply felt emotionally. What these data make clear is it is dangerous to do something to the young that is irreversible when it might, in fact, be their destiny to change their mind and preference over time with maturation and more life experience, to give them a broader perspective of possibilities and what they mean, because it is impossible for adolescents to grasp the full impact of what a sex change truly represents for their future. It is far safer to wait and see how things develop so life-altering decisions are made from an adult perspective and not that of a naïve child.
