In many respects, the challenges faced by salmon to return to their birthplace to spawn is very much akin to the journey of human beings to venture forth on their own at some point and give up their dependence on parents and the home where they were reared to meet new challenges and opportunities that will strengthen them through learning and growth to reach new heights. Human lives, being more complex in their makeup and potential, create many different lifestyles but a high percentage of people will return again and again to visit, if not live with, family or create a new family of their own if that is not workable, and they will continue to cycle away from and back to their loved ones as a key governing force in their lifetime. That stability serves the beings involved in many, many, ways. People need love just as all living things need a coming together, whether this is perceived on a conscious level or not. Life forms are interdependent as members of a habitat and benefit one another through their coexistence in a shared environment.
