What you are doing is providing helpful questions to sort out what is possible and meaningful and what might not be, in using holy writings as a kind of tool to amplify getting divine help. The major benefit of the Bible and other scriptural writings of divine prophecy is to put the words of the divine and the ideas and concepts into focus, so that other human beings can focus their thoughts to be in harmony with the divine and gain greater precision and effectiveness in having a divine outreach acted on. The Bible and other Scripture will not radiate healing power on their own. They are a repository of divine energy, but the key is making a connection through new thoughts of people in need or wishing to be an advocate for others as a healer, for example. There can be effective healing intentions summoned from using an object like a Bible as a point of focus, as described in the examples you gave of common ordinary objects enabling disciples to connect with divine energy. That is literally possible through energetic cordings that are present from the divine to objects possessed by those in divine alignment reaching out for assistance and learning. So those cordings will help facilitate the formation of a healing circuit and add to the energy of intention, the sum total of which will provide fuel for a divine response.
Human intention is more powerful when people believe that to be so. It is those thoughts turning up the wattage, so to speak, and that is facilitated by using a symbolic object like a crucifix or a Bible owned by a notable member of the clergy or historical figure. That level of belief will produce a more powerful intention and thus help achieve the desired greater effect in using such an object in that ritual-like fashion, to have it in hand, to touch it to a person, and so on. Similarly, it is when people read the Bible that something new can happen for them, because they have taken action and created an intention to connect, actively. That is far different from having a Bible in the drawer of a bedside table while staying in a motel somewhere. People will not check out the next morning healed of their maladies because there happened to be a Bible in their room. But if they notice it and take the time to begin reading it and find a passage that strikes them as meaningful, and they connect their thoughts to a personal need seeing something in the Bible that is reassuring, that will create an energetic link to us with an intent to bring the two together—the truth of the divine and its power to make things happen for human betterment, along with a personal need and desire for closeness to the divine and what that can mean to get help for a personal dilemma. So it is the creation of a healing circuit by means of the Bible as a repository of knowledge helping to focus the process, which combines things together and is the key for why the Scriptures are considered holy and are revered and known by many, through experience, to be an effective adjunct for facilitating a divine intervention. But this will always require an action step on the part of a human being.
