DWQA QuestionsCategory: Extraterrestrial Corruption of Human InstitutionsA viewer asks: “Given the information now available via GetWisdom about extraterrestrial corruption of many religions, to what extent does the Law of Karma now regard support of or participation in a conventional religion as a karmic error?” What is Creator’s perspective?

You are thinking in a simplistic way here, using a kind of black-or-white thinking, that religion, if corrupted, must now be bad and no longer good and might be dangerous to pursue on that human corrupted level, if the Law of Karma uses that against you with a form of punishment. But you are underestimating the perceptiveness and built-in wisdom of the Law of Karma. If you think about this for a moment, it must be the case that the Law of Karma needs to discriminate very finely among many nuances and complex aggregates of competing and conflicting agendas, energies, actions, and consequences. There is some good and some bad in most things that happen, and that is why divine oversight is not only quite valuable and a great help on a daily basis but essential to help keep things on track and avoid tragic mistakes by giving timely feedback, often in the form of a gentle reminder. That is not a danger to you but a blessing if your conscience gets nudged, for example, and keeps you from the brink of a tragic error that would be impossible to correct. So the Law of Karma will see and analyze, energetically, every aspect of religion and its influence on you in your thoughts, feelings, and actions. What is good will benefit you and others. What might be corrupt that you embrace will be seen as a karmic misstep and will put you in line for a corrective comeuppance of some kind. So the key is in what you take from religion and how you employ it in your day-to-day life. If you are out of alignment and the dark corrupting influences appeal to you, and you act on those energies, you will be harmed from the association. But we always caution people to not throw the baby out with the bathwater, and this is especially meaningful when you consider that all your institutions are corrupted, not just religions, so you will be misguided, misinformed, and misled all along the way during life. The fact you need the divine in your life to survive, let alone flourish, would suggest not discarding religion as the first order of business but work to salvage what is helpful and truly in divine alignment and set aside those teachings that darken the heart because, if not aligned with love, it will likely be a corruption. This, in fact, would be a good life challenge and a teaching opportunity to sharpen your discernment in ways that will aid your progress in all areas of your life because that same basic problem exists everywhere.
