DWQA QuestionsCategory: Channeling PitfallsA viewer asks: “Was Robert Monroe’s book, Far Journeys, in divine alignment or were his experiences and explorations a massive manipulation? If that is the case, then I fear I may be being manipulated as well. What a travesty that would be. Good God, I certainly hope that is not the case. If it is, would you please tell me? I can take it. This kind of feels like that game we played as children – red light, green light. Do I keep going forward? I want to. Do you see a green light?” What is Creator’s perspective?

This is not a corrupted source of information. He was reporting accurately, intuitive perceptions he experienced personally, in wanting to explore everything around him because of an inner drive to learn and excel through uncovering mysteries and gaining a greater understanding of reality, including other dimensions only accessible to direct probing by the intuitive consciousness of human beings. The only reservation we have is that it is inevitably highly personal as a witnessing through his own intuitive vocabulary, so to speak. So the imagery and symbolism is perceived in terms familiar and understandable to him, at least in the general outlines, and may be less so in comparison directly to what others experience encountering the same phenomena. Intuition and probing by differing individuals is very much akin to the fabled story of the blind men and the elephant, each approaching the animal from a different perspective and vantage point, and reporting widely divergent descriptions of what they sensed through their outreach via touch. In actuality, all of the individuals were reporting accurately their perceptions, but it did not appear to be accurate or even a useful account from an outside viewer's vantage point without knowing what to make of the fact each one felt something different because one was feeling the trunk, another a leg, and so forth but not having a deeper awareness that was so, which would help interpret the sensations to put them in a more accurate big-picture context. You know from personal experience that your own intuition can have varied value because it is not always understood directly. So there is much uncertainty surrounding many intuitive explorations and that is unavoidable using one's intuition alone, in effect, exploring the darkness with what is inevitably a constrained capability. So this can be a useful starting point and inspiration. In fact, conscious desire to experience something similar can provide meaningful instructions to the subconscious mind to interpret impressions in a similar way, and thus make it more understandable than if you did not have an outside point of reference, like the accounts of this author, to refer to. There are no guarantees that you will have such a reinterpretation of your own experiences. We are simply wanting to round out the picture here about the pros and cons of interpreting what people intuit quite literally, when it will not always be understandable and sensed accurately.
