DWQA QuestionsCategory: Extraterrestrial Corruption of Human InstitutionsAre gun-control laws, even though they may not all be equally effective, a good idea and necessary for crime reduction and public safety; and do the benefits outweigh the risks of undermining self-protection?

We would say the benefits of the current gun laws do not outweigh the risks of being powerless when so many things can be arranged to happen for which guns would be a deterrent in the hands of law-abiding citizens. This is far from an ideal world when it must be defended and maintained at the threat of death, but this is the state of affairs that has been created by the Extraterrestrial Alliance in your midst and is the lesser of evils to preserve the lives of the innocent at the expense of the guilty or the corrupted. To leave the dark forces unopposed invites the travesty of a final solution involving widespread annihilation.
