DWQA QuestionsCategory: KarmaAre people who commit suicide punished by the Almighty? Is it correct to view suicide as a sin?

The concept of sin is a relic of formal religion and its dogma, and often is a human construct not a divine one. We would rather see you put things in terms of love as a tool of measure. If something is in service to love it is in divine alignment. If it goes against love, if it blocks love, diminishes love, perverts love, withholds love, or contaminates love in some fashion, it is non-divine and will have a negative consequence. This is all determined by you. It is not the case that when you leave you go before an ultimate authority who judges and condemns you, and then you will be punished accordingly. There will be a reckoning, there will be a consultation, there will be a life review, there will be a conversation with Creator directly about all that has happened in your life, good and bad, and you will see and feel it all and will, in addition, feel the consequences of all you do to others. This achieves a great awakening within, as it is the most profound way of understanding karma and what it does. When you have this greater understanding it will then become your burden to right the wrongs, to rebalance the discord you have created. That will be your burden to see to, and you will only be able to do it when you return into a physical incarnation. That is the punishment. It is the fact you have created a mess that is yours to clean up and no one else's. You will not be judged nor condemned by Creator. You, yourself, will see the nature of the dilemma you participated in, wittingly or unwittingly, and you will accept your consequences knowing this is simply the way the universe works. It is no different than gravity. So, if you step off a ledge through carelessness you will fall until you have something interact with your body to break the fall. Karma is exactly like this. When you step off the divine path, that discord created will return in some way and when you are back in life, or even later during the current life when this happened, that negative energy will return in some way and perhaps take you farther off the path by pushing you in that direction, dragging you down, seeing things getting worse, and then you react poorly and continue to be neglectful. In this way, you have many choices. If you make the choice to heal, this can happen, and you may need to work at this because the karma will not let you go until the rebalancing has happened. The healing cannot come through wishful thinking, it can only come through a reworking of what has occurred. This can be done within the self, within the levels of the mind, to reconcile emotional discord and consequences, and this can be enough to help yourself out of your dilemma. The difficulty caused to others will be helped to some degree by your personal healing, but you may need still to make further restitution to compensate for a disparity. This will be on your head and will be essentially self-created and unavoidable. This is the beauty of the system. It does not require a judge and jury—any other kind of watchdog. You, yourself, will face your accuser. You, yourself, will face the judgment of karma in bringing back to you the energy for you to contend with that will smack you down in some way, in some future point in time. This has been misinterpreted as God's will, as God reaching down to punish. So, the Almighty is an easy target to blame for all manner of human suffering, the occurrence of a dire illness, a natural disaster that hurts someone severely, or perhaps a whole region, and many suffer. In the past, it has often been attributed to God's will, a punishment for people living in a selfish way or engaged in some type of so-called sinful behavior. This virtually never happens because this is not how the divine realm spends its time. It deploys love, it reserves love for when it is requested, but it is never punishing. The possibility of punishment is inherent in the nature of existence itself within the human environment. The Law of Cause and Effect takes care of this automatically.
