DWQA QuestionsCategory: KarmaAre there risks of karmic entanglement from donating or receiving platelets which lack nuclear DNA but have mitochondrial DNA?
Nicola Staff asked 4 years ago
The risk for platelets are less than with whole blood containing white blood cells. This is because the overall DNA content is much smaller, in addition to which, there are fewer variations in the mitochondrial DNA and so there will be less of a clash when mitochondrial DNA is transferred from one individual to another. So here too, donating or receiving a platelet transfusion has minimal risk for donor or recipient.
