Everything humans do is potentially surveilled by the interlopers. But everything fed into AI systems is guaranteed to automatically go into the hopper and then the extraterrestrial AI system will evaluate the information and go from there. They have many programs intending to provide disinformation, and various kinds of manipulations, so humans will not know where and when that creeps in from an alien source when simply using a human AI service as a reference to bring up useful knowledge. There are many ways the interlopers can target individuals regarding specific facts they are told by the humans themselves. In the course of interacting with AI services, people are unwittingly putting themselves on display to be analyzed, evaluated, and ranked with respect to potential risk factors as seen by the aliens, as well as potential points of vulnerability that makes certain humans likely candidates to be manipulated in causing harm in some way to them personally. Or, it may be seen as a way to use them as a minion to harm other human beings, as through recruitment for political activities, spreading disinformation, or simply to be undermined in some way to make them a liability to themselves or others. And that will put a burden on that individual being targeted as well as their circle of acquaintances.
