A client wrote to me to say she had a faucet break and called a plumber. While chatting with him, she mentioned how her mother had died and wished she would send her a sign. Just then, the kitchen lights went off, and then flashed back on. He was amazed, and they both felt it had meaning. What happened to cause that?

That indeed was her mother sending a sign from heaven that she is watching over her daughter with great love and caring and concern about her suffering, and wants to reassure her it is needless because your mother is close by and there will be a reunion one day and this she can count on. There is no rush to do so. Life is short as it is, and she would like her daughter to know it will please her greatly for her daughter to pursue her own happiness and stop dwelling on her mother's suffering and the loss of her mother as a resource and a focus. It is time for her to spread her wings. She will never soar when she spends her time pining for a lost loved one.
