DWQA QuestionsCategory: Healing ModalitiesA viewer asks: “I recently had a blood test for an elective surgery I had as a part of medical clearance. I was shocked to find that my liver results showed I had NAFL, with extremely elevated AST-SGOT of 84, when the highest normal range is 40. I had a blood test approximately 24 months prior for a physical and it was normal. While I have extra pounds I want to lose and my diet isn’t perfect, this fatty liver disease result astounded me. I don’t drink alcohol and haven’t for over 20 yrs. I did some research and found an article about CBD and related oils causing liver disease, which made me think about how I have for almost the past year have been taking Cannabitol ECS5 one to 2 times a day regularly. I was happy to take this for not only anti-viral reasons but for stress from my job and inflammation for my several injuries. I will attach the article here. Would you ask Creator, or if you personally have any information, could advise if this NAFL could be a result of ECS5? I have since stopped taking it.” Is her suspicion correct that the Cannabitol ECS5 caused liver injury, or perhaps exacerbated a pre-existing condition? What is most important for us to know?

You have revised the question to hone in on the true nature of what is taking place here. Cannabidiol does not cause fatty liver disease but can cause, at high concentrations of exposure, liver injury and the release of enzymes as a marker. You do have liver problems that were a pre-existing condition that has been developing due to karmic reasons. The amount of cannabidiol in the Antiviral Regimen ingredients is not high enough to cause an injury. It could exacerbate an existing problem to a small degree, but in and of itself, would not be a greater danger but a minor aggravation. That could be measurable in some cases, but that does not mean it is clinically significant in comparison to the primary problem here, as well as the irony that the liver problem in question for you is viral in cause. So it is unfortunate that this clouds the issue of safety for a potential answer to the medical condition you suffer. For peace of mind, we would suggest, if anything, to discontinue the use of the Cannabitol ECS5, but continue with the other antivirals, as well as maintaining regular protocol work while specifying the issue of assisting with healing of the liver as a priority.
