DWQA QuestionsCategory: Human PotentialA viewer asks: “Is there a better or more accurate definition for FAITH?”

We have had conversations with your channel to distinguish between faith and belief as they are interrelated and interdependent. A more precise way of delineating these terms is that belief is a function of what you deem to be true and faith is more of a degree of belief and implies a level of belief that is perhaps less than total, as there needs to be an assumption the belief is true, because you are perhaps not quite there yet and that gap in belief, being less than absolute and total, can be bridged by faith. This is in the vernacular in things people do, being described as "taking a leap of faith" because that is many times what people do to keep going, assuming the divine is on the case and will provide something very much needed. If someone launching a request for assistance will do their part and keep going until help arrives, that is very much acting on faith under trying circumstances, when reaching a goal or even staying alive is uncertain and cannot be guaranteed. So we would say, having a 100% belief quotient is the goal to work towards, and faith will help you get there because it can make up for a shortfall, through the power of your intention to have divine blessings conferred in response to direct requests of us. And this is what faith more accurately consists of, an intention to be partnering with the divine and believing, if only provisionally, that is possible with an intention to seek it and make the outreach, make the gesture, with a belief it will be rewarded, even if not yet in hand visibly or tangibly, but "faith can be quite strong and is very much a faithful friend," to coin a phrase, because it can build a lifeline for you that might be very much needed when you are being tested and are uncertain about things.
