The appearance of this motion picture is not essential to their plans but was inspired by them, as they have inspired this director to produce other films friendly to their agenda and surreptitious manipulations of human culture. They want people to embrace the idea of friendly extraterrestrials coming to Earth to help and that has been the theme of the works they have inspired, like the present one. The timing could indeed work out to have this be an influence on public thinking.
