DWQA QuestionsCategory: Channeling PitfallsA viewer asks: “The Urantia Book is an influential book about spirituality and the divine. Is the information contained in it 100% accurate? If not, what percentage of it is false? Could you extract or sum up to us, from the 196 papers of The Urantia Book, all true information that is constructive for our spiritual growth and knowledge? If possible, can you direct us on what papers to read?”

Unfortunately, this work, despite its imposing appearance due to its length and content, is more a hindrance than a help. A large percentage of it is ancient lore that was poorly understood in its day and thus poorly described and recorded. As such, it has little value for today. In addition, it is heavily corrupted because spiritual workers of all kinds have been heavily corrupted all through human history, and this is as true today. This is why most channelers are being deceived in the information they are getting. It will be tainted, it will contain a poison pill at some point, and it will always be a superficial description. Moreover, many channelers are being blocked in having blinders on, causing them to never ask penetrating questions, to accept things at face value, and not probe more deeply, being made too complacent to believe they have all they need to know. This is why so many spiritual gurus promote ideas that are little more than magical thinking, telling people they are light beings and they can heal and they can create their own reality, and so on. It all sounds good, but it does not work like that in the real world of the physical plane. The major problem with corrupted works of this kind is not even that the information is woefully incomplete and sometimes faulty, it is that the works themselves are monitored and heavily connected energetically, to the interlopers. So reading such works and attempting to decipher them will not only be frustrating and likely lead to many dead ends or cul-de-sacs with a shallow treatment at best, but will be noticed by the interlopers and they will come looking to see who you are and what you are all about. This is the problem with all such works, they act like a sentinel in attracting those who have not been fully subjugated. Human beings are not supposed to be seekers, especially of spiritual or religious material. So using a book of this kind will cause you to be noticed as a seeker and put you at risk. Keep in mind that it is only truly divine communications that are shielded and protected from outside observation. This is why prayer is always safe if directed at the Almighty and not a false substitute. So we would say this work does not merit further study.
