A viewer asks: “When I was a kid, I shared the bus stop with an older boy who bullied me. One morning he said quite aggressively, “I’m going to give you a FAT LIP!” And clenched his fist and sneered at me. That afternoon, I was playing baseball with my friends. I was pitching. I pitched the ball and my buddy lit a line drive that was so fast that there was no time to get a mitt up or duck or “anything.” It hit me square in the mouth. I ended up with the FATTEST LIPS you ever saw!! The next morning, I went to the bus stop, and everybody was SHOCKED at my appearance. Remembering what the bully had said the day before, another boy asked, “Dave, did you give him the fat lip?!” No one was more shocked than the bully. But what was even more interesting, is that he replied in what sounded like a “trance-like” state at the time, a kind of elongated, whispered, but very audible “yeahhh.” Any connection between the bully’s threat, and the fat lip later that same day? Was his “yeahhh” a kind of subconscious confession, that he did indeed give me the fat lip!?”

While most people would dismiss this as simplistic thinking, that such events do not happen and it falls under the category of magical thinking to believe that thoughts can bring about anything if one simply imagines it, and through a visualization will get the universe to line up with the intention they are holding and then the circumstances will begin to conform and match the visualization. There is truth to this phenomenon and this is a circumstance in which it happened, but it was through the Law of Karma, not through the Law of Attraction. In a sense, someone might lay claim to this as falling under the aegis of the Law of Attraction but in reality, it was karma. This sequence of events fit within a pattern that had been ongoing for some time with threats of this bully being very much in the deep subconscious of this person and that was having a great impact because there was previous karmic history in other lifetimes of being bullied, and that was getting stirred up and piling on and adding intensity. So this targeted individual was walking around with a very clear and demonstrable energetic signature of being attacked in terms of having a painful assault take place. That, in fact, had an impact on the sequence of events in which the Law of Karma saw him standing in harm’s way, potentially within striking distance of a struck ball, and used that moment to send a missile in his direction to match that karmic predisposing energy. Much was self-reinforced and even self-created and that is what almost guaranteed this would happen, because it was essentially a kind of personal curse from wallowing in the fear and creating an energy that would attract, much like a magnet, a forceful attack from a bullying energy of some kind. But this is why people can succumb to their own worst fears despite what one would think would be maintaining an extra vigilance when having a phobia about something. But all too often, people nonetheless will succumb to their worst fear—dying in a car crash, falling from a height, and being killed or dying in a fire when fear of flames is extremely intense within their being. We have discussed this phenomenon and it has been discussed by others you have channeled, that there is a karmic element at work in such scenarios that prior experience with a calamity and then giving it much conscious attention and a subconscious embracing of the fear and thinking increasingly one has an inevitable dance with death, it may well be the end result that the karmic energies align with a suitable vector to bring harm to the person very much in the way most feared. That was the case here. Fortunately, this was not about death, it was about being assaulted unfairly and with no ability to control the circumstances or defend oneself. So this seeming accident filled the bill quite precisely, even to seeing the injury take place at the target site most recently singled out for a future attack. So things lined up to fulfill the bully’s promise when all he did was make the declaration and the Law of Karma carried it out for him. This is a nice illustration of the quantum entanglement of perpetrator and victim, that the karma lives on and becomes an imperative and the energy can carry forward through multiple lifetimes, in many cases, until it is eventually healed and will fade.
