DWQA QuestionsCategory: Human PotentialBecause helpers are so focused on the happiness and well-being of those around them, it would make sense that would likely be more conservative and risk-averse than perhaps any other role. This would also perhaps make them more susceptible to experience anxiety about the health, happiness, and welfare of those close to them. Is the stereotypical “worry wart” likely a helper? What can Creator tell us?

Here you are seeing that there is an intertwining of soul attributes that are complementary in providing the basic makeup needed to be a successful helper in particular settings and these are many and varied. The worry wart is, indeed, an occupational hazard of the helper. The constitution of a helper, in general, often is accompanied by an extra dollop of compassion and an increased sensitivity to the feelings of others. After all, there must be something to motivate the helper to carry out a role of service to others. While there are certainly people who work, for example, in the service sector out of necessity, simply to eke out an existence, as a cocktail waitress or the dishwasher in a restaurant, those who are helpers, with respect to overall soul profile, are often possessed of a good work ethic because there is an inner caring about what others think, and the sensitivity within to notice when people are happy or less so is a valuable trait. The experiencing of anxiety has many origins, but there is a certain stratum within society where low-level functionaries, serving as helpers, can be mistreated and looked down on as second class. All of life is, in a way, a search for balance seeking the soul's fulfillment. A person possessed of a highly sensitive nature will be at risk encountering people who take advantage of them or mistreat them, because they are more inclined to give in to please their critic for the sake of harmony, in seeking acceptance, so this is really a combination of things that can be strengths or liabilities depending on the setting.
