We see the problem of bullying being one that is almost universal. When you consider that almost all acts of malevolence, meanness, mean-spirited treatment and hypercritical conduct is a form of bullying, and so this is fully a third of all emotional illness and emotional difficulties of all levels of severity. The overall idea of human problems is one of facing the various forms of negativity that hold a person down, drag them into a lower state of being to lose confidence, lose focus, and have problems in their lives of all kinds. The classic bullying you see among school children is the most obvious and first thought people have when the subject is raised. But bullying behavior is commonplace among adults as well and again takes many forms—overt, aggressive, brutish, as well as being much more subtle and insidious, from catty behavior among females to the underhanded backbiting and sabotage of personal relationships and undermining of reputations carried out through gossip—that is bullying in another guise that is merely indirect. When you add that all together, you have approximately 50% of all human agony coming at the hands of others acting as perpetrators directly and indirectly. This has fully integrated the various types of perpetrator—human, non‑human, and spirit as causative agents.
