DWQA QuestionsCategory: ReligionsI had a thought recently that the biblical description in Genesis of Earth’s creation in 6 days might possibly have fostered a misunderstanding. Could it be that the account in Genesis is really describing the repositioning of Earth from its original orbit around what became a dead star, and then recovering the water from safekeeping on Tiamat, followed by commencing with the repopulation of the Earth with life forms that were already present on other worlds?

You have finally figured this out, although almost no one else would. This will provide an interesting talking point, particularly in conjunction with your emerging interest in biblical archaeology. There is indeed a powerful story to relate the majority of people living today who regard the Bible as a combination of divine inspiration with largely tall tales meant as a kind of encouragement, but not truly authentic and accurate in a literal sense at all. And that weakens their power and the respect otherwise due for chroniclers of history living so long ago, but getting many, many, things right, especially considering the heavy editing to confound things by reducing what is understandable and removing many important events and concepts because they were too transparently helpful to humanity. The clever wording of what has remained is meant to be a kind of cryptogram that plants clues within the mind and invites the kind of awakening and reinterpretation as you are doing with your current question, putting two and two together as you are reacting to your learning, and rethinking things about what you have read in the Scriptures. There are many, many, such things that can happen that will make the Bible come to life and have greater relevance than people assume at first glance, or even after long study, unless they have some additional source of knowledge as a catalyst to help them move beyond prosaic interpretation of the words themselves in a literal sense. Often, the metaphorical nature is intentional, to be a springboard to consider a wider and more complex reality that is been deliberately obscured by manipulation. So if you revisit Genesis yourself personally, with this lens you will see a number of clues that fit your conjecture quite well and provide a logical basis for reinterpreting the story of creation as presented in the Bible in a new way that allows the true whistleblowing nature of the Scriptures and their intention for being created to come forth. And this will be rewarding and a catalyst for greater acceptance of spiritual teachings that is sorely needed in today's world.
