DWQA QuestionsCategory: Channeling PitfallsWhat are the criteria to think about and address to help a questioner get what they want most from a channeling session?

The usual criteria used by investigative reporters to ferret out truth are quite applicable here as well. The perspectives provided by asking who, what, when, where, why, and how, may all be involved in crafting one question, or some, and often a multiple set of these is germane and essential to achieving the objective the questioner has in mind. So this is a useful checklist to think about and often the best question is one that takes some words to describe, to set the scene, to describe an issue, and then define a particular aspect of greatest interest, for the moment, that is involved in some way, that is actually stated as a part of the question, so the intention is as clear as can be crafted in words the precise bit of information needed. This is not always possible when a situation has mysteries and uncertainty as its inherent nature, but these factors as well can be posed as part of the question and this intention can be all‑important. In other words, if the person knows they are completely ignorant of one of these basic aspects of fact around something, if they ask directly for that gap to be filled, it is much more likely the divine realm will do so than if they skip over that piece and ask in a more general way to describe the meaning of something. With missing data and knowledge, the divine realm may be hindered to such a degree they cannot be explicit enough to satisfy even beginning questions about something. But if one states boldly: “This is what I know. This is what I don’t know. What am I missing?” That will be a more powerful question than to just ask something pointing towards the gap with the expectation the divine will simply build the bridge for you without describing what is on both sides needing to be connected, and what is at stake, and what one knows about this and its importance, or potential importance. The more earnest, thoughtful, and genuinely felt a question, the deeper the answer that can be provided. As you know, the divine realm follows intention more than the words, so conveying to the channeler that there is a keen interest here, there is a mystery here, there is a yearning to understand the principles behind something, can be borrowed by the channeler and shared, as a fellow human with whom it may well resonate, and this will increase the value of the information that is forthcoming because it will build on a stronger intention in bringing together all the information that might be allowable. The greater the intention, the greater the allowance of information to be shared, especially in areas with meager understanding to begin with. This is always putting things to a test because the divine realm cannot lead, it cannot override free will choice to learn and explore by humans on their own, and that is respected and is expected to be done, rather than a series of passive requests for hand-holding, education, and mentoring that end up rendering the person disempowered and dependent on the divine, much as a parent to look after their young and do everything for them because of their state of dependency. That is appropriate for a child, but not for the divine human when mature—more is expected. That personal responsibility and initiative will always be honored and may well be rewarded with greater information when diligence and earnestness and some scholarship is applied by a seeker of truth.
