DWQA QuestionsCategory: Problems in SocietyDr. Stanley Milgram contrived and carried out a famous experiment on Blind Obedience to Authority. Google’s AI provided this summary: “In the experiment, participants were instructed to administer increasingly severe electric shocks to a learner (an actor) for incorrect answers. The study demonstrated that ordinary individuals are surprisingly willing to obey authority, even when those orders conflict with their own moral beliefs.” Zimbardo wrote: “In Milgram’s experiment, two of every three (65 percent) of the volunteers went all the way up to the maximum shock level of 450 volts. … The data clearly revealed the extreme pliability of human nature. Milgram was able to demonstrate that compliance rates could soar to over 90 percent of people continuing the 450-volt with the introduction of one crucial variable … Make the subject a member of a ‘teaching team,’ in which the job of pulling the lever is given to another person.” We want to think of the majority of humanity as good, but Milgram demonstrated rather conclusively that 9 out of 10 people can become, willingly, a party to unthinkable cruelty. Even to an authority that has no means to actually compel them. Can Creator tell us, how can this possibly be?

Here again the answer is in a wildly improbable scenario, that human experience includes regular exercises in following the leader in response to inner programming of your deep subconscious mind. Here again, is the conundrum and the explanation why things seem abnormal perhaps, but not for any understandable reason. Because humans are all groomed to obey, this allows the interlopers to play games with you, to put you through your paces at their behest. This is how they get mass demonstrations going, all kinds of social justice movements, and other activities that develop a following of adherents who can be counted on to join forces. Compared to being induced to carry out criminal activity, or violent action with a possibly fatal outcome through engaging in reckless conduct of all kinds, participating in a purported scientific study and creating a situation with an apparent authority figure and given orders to follow, creates an automatic response with a high percentage of people because they have become puppets used to following the consequences of having strings pulled to control their actions, thoughts, and feelings. So to a normal person, being an earwitness to suffering at your hands, because you were given instructions to do so, would rebel quickly and simply refuse to participate. The fact that seldom happened, at least until the greatest extremes were reached, again is a diagnostic indicator of how far gone the average human being is at this point in history.

You are all living under the thumb of this suppression and subjugation controlling you from within your own mind in a general way, and at times in a highly specific departure from what you would otherwise be doing, but it will seem like your own impulse and own decisions as you proceed to do something to bend the rules or exceed your usual boundaries. Again, the key to understanding this is not the affront to common sense and your intelligence, it is that you are being influenced and overridden by the deep subconscious. It will see the need to follow the authority figure as completely appropriate in a way the conscious self will not admit. This is reflecting the reality that you are living an illusion in a kind of bubble. The vast array of clashes and discords and incongruities and seeming randomness of events and consequences are all construed as a demonstration of the unplanned nature of things, that there is no larger orchestration or control but a series of individual actions and decisions that differ from person to person. And all involved are allowed to make their choices in how they behave, so the world seems to be your creation through free choice and individual freedom when the opposite is the case—you have the illusion of freedom only.
