So much importance has been placed on this, that it appears to have muscled out spiritual pursuits, in particular. The advent of television added a whole new kind of recreation to people’s lives, that of passive spectator. It seems obvious, that direct participation would be more immersive and richer in almost every way than being a passive spectator. Nevertheless, someone close to GetWisdom has observed that passive spectating can fill a niche, a void that would otherwise remain unfulfilled. He has derived great satisfaction from watching car restoration shows. As a youth, he often dreamed of doing this for a living, and now as a man approaching sixty, this dream, never considered a serious option for him, nevertheless finds some valid vicarious fulfillment in watching others living his dream. To live a life wholly dedicated to recreational pursuits alone is often considered the ideal life by many. Some do seem to actually achieve this. Can Creator share if this is indeed a good or bad thing? I’ve done many LHP’s for my children in general and for him individually. He seemed to be doing better and turning a corner but I was in shock when recently we woke up one morning to find he was acting drunk with slurring and disorientation, which I found later was from illegal Xanax pills he took. As recounted on DocumentedHealings.com, Joshua was a victim of a drive-by shooting in 1999 and required knee surgery as a result. For the next 19 years, the knee was a source of constant chronic pain, causing him to limp. He encountered a couple on the street doing a healing ministry outreach, where the two of them prayed for anyone they encountered needing healing assistance.
