DWQA QuestionsCategory: PrayerA viewer asks: “I had a question about reciting prayers. Would singing the daily prayers increase their effectiveness and sort of speed up progress for healing and enlightenment as opposed to simply verbally or mentally reciting them? If so, would frequency and pitch also impact the effectiveness, such as a higher pitch or frequency as opposed to a lower pitch or frequency? The New Age spiritual community with their interest in 528 Hz “healing” music brings this to mind.” What is Creator’s perspective?

What we can tell you is that the value of singing will depend more on the effect it has on the person doing the praying. If singing adds a degree of focus and emotional commitment and a heightened sense of purpose and intensity, that can be a positive in terms of the energy being contributed to the task, and that will serve the end result in providing more fuel for a divine intervention. This cannot be reduced to a mathematical equation or principles of physics as with the specific frequencies of sound involved. True music is a form of beauty and that is inherently divine. Its value is in raising the vibration inherently in the experiencer to put them more in tune, literally, with the divine. So that adds value in terms of a high-level intention versus a more mundane, workmanlike level of doing something and thinking something ordinary, but this will vary from person to person in what they respond to and what moves them personally. It is like a musical composition of any kind, that it will be embraced to a different degree and level of response from person to person.
