The two are somewhat overlapping, but not completely so. You are seeing intuitively that the nature of a soul reset must involve at least a consideration of the soul connection to you as a physical expression incarnated currently, and you know as well that those connections are done via the interdimensional DNA and can be used as a form of creative energy through the morphogenetic feel to generate and maintain your physical presence as a human life form. Those configurations and settings are all dependent on your makeup as a soul based being, and the basic instruction sets arise from your soul configuration as well as much planning and fine-tuning in advance to have your makeup preconfigured to be a match to your current life purpose. So you will be deployed as a physical being to help the cause of the divine with certain skills and attributes inherent within you, to contribute in some way, as well as to work on what might be needed personally to address prior difficulties, and thus spend a good amount of your efforts and energies on healing your own past karma. That is not at all selfish, but helps the entirety of the human enterprise to progress. This is because you are all interdependent as human beings. What helps you, will help all the others, to some degree and vice versa.
A soul reset is more about conducting a very comprehensive review and reconfiguration of the soul itself, to correct damage accrued from likely having hundreds of human lifetimes and much karmic trauma that created lasting damage to the soul itself. So it is a deeper and more general long-term realignment with the initial configuration of your soul, more so than a pragmatic healing step to address the particular signs and symptoms an individual might be experiencing, such as an emotional liability or physical malady, resulting in an impairment of function and a reduction in happiness. Those things are important and, of course, naturally a high priority because they will get in the way of your progress. They are rate-limiting and thus of great consequence so as to not have a wasted life that only allows greater misery and the problems to grow deeper and wider.
The soul reset has the potential to be more far-reaching and more comprehensive, but it must be done with care and discernment to not disturb so many things that are interdependent. At some point, too great an intervention for healing becomes an exercise in leading by the divine realm because it will start reconfiguring a wider and wider part of the whole because of this interdependence with so many things influencing so many, many, others. That is not a bad thing to have happen, but it must be held in check because we can only heal what is in proportion to the energy you provide for the task. As always, it is that the limitations are on the human side and not the divine. So here again, this points to the need to apply as much wisdom in forming your requests for divine assistance as possible, and this is inherent in the Lightworker Healing Protocol requests to have a balance that keeps in mind the high priority for the current life to be successful and minimize its suffering, but still attend to the wider picture so you have the best of both.
